BP 4DAT Legal
Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how BP 4DAT handles blood pressure data, HealthKit interaction, and other personal information.
Who We Are
BP 4DAT is a blood pressure tracking concept app. Questions about privacy can be sent to [email protected].
Data We Process
- Blood pressure readings and optional pulse entered by the user.
- Optional notes the user enters with each reading.
- Optional photos selected by the user for device/site verification.
- App configuration data, including default blood pressure mapping.
Current App Storage Behavior
In the current BP 4DAT iOS starter implementation, data is stored locally on the device using iOS app storage (UserDefaults). We do not operate a default cloud account system in this starter build.
HealthKit Interaction
The current BP 4DAT starter codebase does not yet include active HealthKit read/write APIs. If HealthKit features are enabled in a production build, BP 4DAT will follow this model:
- HealthKit access is opt-in and permission-gated by iOS; BP 4DAT will request only the specific blood pressure data types needed.
- Users can deny access, revoke access later in iOS Settings, or stop syncing at any time.
- HealthKit data will not be used for advertising, profiling, or data broker activity.
- HealthKit data will not be shared with third parties except when a user explicitly initiates transfer (for example, to a clinical integration endpoint they control).
Data Sharing And Transfers
BP 4DAT can transmit a user-generated packet to a configured endpoint when the user initiates sync. This transfer is user-directed. BP 4DAT does not sell personal data.
Permissions
- Photos permission may be requested when users choose device/site images.
- HealthKit permissions are requested only if HealthKit features are added and enabled.
Retention And Deletion
User-entered data remains on the device until the user deletes it, removes the app, or overwrites records. If remote sync is used, data retention in that system is governed by the destination system's policies.
Security
BP 4DAT uses platform-level iOS protections for on-device storage. For network transfers, use secure HTTPS endpoints and operational safeguards in production deployments.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy as BP 4DAT features evolve. Material updates will include a revised "Last updated" date on this page.
